About Multi Comfort Buildings

This RIBA Approved seminar/CPD is concerned with typical design challenges in the evolving school environment and provides an overview of third-party studies that have considered the impact school design has on its occupants. 

Like all mammals, we are relatively fragile beings, so we have come up with various strategies, to protect ourselves from the outside environment.

The building environment, which acts as a filter between the inside and the outside, gradually became more sophisticated.

Though we are now able to provide adequate artificial lighting day and night, it is well established that daylight and a view to the outside are essential to our wellbeing.

A ‘comfortable’ acoustic environment can be defined by the quality of sounds we want to hear and the absence of sounds we don’t want to hear.

As pollution levels have risen, attention has been given to the threats of outdoor air pollution on human health and the environment. It is only in the last few decades that attention has been paid to indoor air quality.
